Student of the Word (SOW) has been such a wonderful blessing to use as a tool in the home education of our children. Student of the Word (SOW) became a part of our homeschooling adventure in the spring of 2001 and we never looked back. We are so grateful to God for the vision of the Reeces to develop a curriculum for home educators with the goal of developing a relationship with God.

Student Of the Word (SOW) is a truly Bible-centred curriculum (K-12) for Christian parents who desire to disciple their children not just educate them. The goal is to know God; the method is discipleship, and the main text for all the subjects is the Bible.

It wasn't until 2001 that I was even aware that such a curriculum existed. After using it with our own family we were so pleased that we wanted to share our discovery with fellow Canadians so they too could benefit from using Student of the Word with their families. We came to the conclusion that the best way to accomplish this goal would be by serving as Canadian distributors.

As Canadian distributors, our aim has been to introduce Canadians to this wonderful curriculum and to make Student of the Word more readily available. We have published brochures and distributed them at conferences across the country, created this website with the intent of hoping to inform more Canadian home educators of Student of the Word and provided a Canadian address to place your order. It has been a great blessing speaking with and being able to serve one Canadian family at a time. We have seen our country go from two families using Student of the Word to having families in almost every province starting to use it and being very blessed by the vision that Student of the Word fosters.

• SOW is designed to develop responsible independent learners for life
• SOW seeks to study God's Word by the inductive method. Merle defines the inductive method as "asking questions to draw out the truth"
• SOW encourages the student to develop a true understanding of what and why the student believes what they do, and equips the student to convey their faith
• The flexibility of the program has been a great asset to us, each year we have used the program a little differently than the previous year
